About Lucille

Lucille Dupree Gay's 'A Full Course' is a journey through the life of Lucille, growing up a sharecropper's daughter in civil rights era America.  The memoir follows her childhood in the South, her migration to the North, and her eventual relocation back to the South.  As she goes through each hill and valley of the story, she gives inspiration and encouragement to others who may have had similar experiences in the South, in the North, in the workplace, or after suffering challenges and loss.  She offers a unique blend of personal storytelling and Southern culinary hospitality and passion. The book tells a unique story interweaving the author's life story, recipes, and life hacks.
